[ When the video clicks on there's Natalia and she doesn't look happy. And if someone look closely there's... flour in her hair? Don't tell her though. ]

Excuse me, if I may, I'd like to ask for some assistance.

[ She lifts a pie she just finished making, face and all. And likely more burnt around the edges than in the picture. At least. ]

I'm aware that I am not the best cook. [ In fact she's a pretty miserable cook. Just recently one of her dear friends had a close encounter with death (or something along those lines) after taking a bite of a cake she made. ] However, it is not something that I particular enjoy being bad at. [ Who does ] I was wondering if perhaps someone could take the opportunity to give me some lessons?

[ A pause ]

And perhaps supply us with a new microwave, I believe it is. Thank you.

[Poor Natalia. After that incident with Ion...perhaps she still feels guilty about it.]

I would be happy to help, any time, if you feel able to take another offer.

[Not for the first time, Nephry has to shake her head at how easy it is to use the journal to talk to her housemates despite being in the house with them.]

Did something happen with the microwave? You're all right?

Oh, yes! I'd be more than happy to take your offer as well.

[ The more 'tutors' the better right? ]

It ah.. it sparked and caught on fire. But I am all right. The kitchen is fairly undamaged as well.

[ It't.. just the microwave. ~~Miraculously~~ somehow. ]

May I come help you clean up, at least?

[She wants to make sure everything is really okay and nothing else is on the verge of destruction.]

Yes, please. I would be most grateful if you did.

[ Make sure she didn't somehow kill the oven too. ]

[To the kitchen! Where Nephry is fully prepared to see the place in shambles or covered in eggs or something equally hard to manage.]

[ Eggs? Yeah those are currently over there covering the stove. There's also plenty of flour around, some left over cherries (or what might seem to be mashed cherries?) as well as some other ingredients spread around.

And, of course, a Princess trying to clean it all up. ]

[What a mess. Nephry surveys the damage quietly from the doorway. Natalia's made some progress on the cleaning, but there is a long way to go, so she rolls up her sleeves and gets a wet dishcloth soapy to join in the cleaning effort.]

What was it, before it was all this? A pie?

[Doubtless, Natalia already feels bad about the mess; no need to push her most recent cooking failure, or make her feel unnecessarily worse.]

Yes, all of this was put into making the pie that is over on the counter.

[ She points to the counter on her left where the pie and it's smile is sitting there before going back to cleaning the section of the kitchen she's in. ]

[Nephry chooses to keep her suspicions about the pie's edibility to herself. After a few minutes of cleaning in silence, things look reasonable again in her corner of the kitchen and she dares another question.]

Is the pie for a special occasion?

[ A wise choice, Nephry. With the face that it has one it who knows how bad it actually tastes. Natalia focuses on her cleaning until the question is asked and halts for a moment to respond. ]

Ah, no. Not necessarily. I did wish to give it to someone if it had turned out well but I don't believe I'll be getting it to anyone unless they want it.

[ For... some odd reason. ]

[No occasion, but it was a gift. Nephry stops to look at the pie up close, wary of the face and warier still of the...aroma.]

If we still have the ingredients, I would be more than happy to assist you in baking a second pie. That is, if you're wanting to try again.

[ ... Yeah, that aroma isn't exactly pleasant either. Hopefully her nightmares don't become more frequent because of this thing. ]

... Are you certain? I do not want to take more of your time if you had other plans. [ A pause ] But... I would like to try again. Practice makes perfect, correct?

No other plans that can't wait a little while. Why don't you locate the recipe you used while I finish cleaning over here?

Then, thank you for your offer, Nephry. I'll find it immediately.

[ And so while the rest of the kitchen is being cleaned she'll find that recipe place it where it can be seen. ]

Here it is.

[Well! That didn't take long to find at all. Good for them both. Nephry reads over the recipe with a nod.]

Let's just start from the beginning. Get all the ingredients out again and put them on the table.

[ Natalia nods her head as she hears Nephry's word]

Of course. I will retrieve them quickly.

[ And so she does so, though she has to come back to the recipe to double check a few times ]
